The Beginning Experience Weekend is a retreat designed to help widowed, separated, and divorced persons make a new beginning in life through a powerful, intense, and positive experience of hope. The weekend is conducted by a team of divorced and widowed lay people. Who is it for? The weekend is for people who have worked through the initial stages of anger and despair which usually follow the death of or divorce from one’s spouse. Recommended time from the loss before a weekend is six months to a year. Although the program was designed by and for Catholics, it is open to all persons of all faiths. Catholics and non-Catholics serve on the team. |
