Heavenly Father, you have chosen St. John's as the vehicle by which you encounter us in our daily lives. In the name of Jesus strengthen us to rely more fully on your heavenly providence.

Send the Holy Spirit to guide us as your word is proclaimed and your Eucharist is celebrated. Unite us and help us become more aware of the needs of the entire church and community.

Through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary and our patron saint, St. John the Evangelist, show us the opportunities to serve.

Keep us open to the needs of your love and friendship. Help us to work together to fulfill Christ's command, "Love one another as I have loved you."
