RCIA Sponsors are members of the local community who volunteer to accompany the candidates and catechumens through the initial periods of conversion. The role of sponsor is one of spiritual friend, support, and care. Sponsors represent the parish community in a personal way. They provide the one-on-one support the catechumen needs during this period of growth and development. This role is a privilege and a responsibility in the parish.
